Dr Saad Al-Khalaf
Dr Saad al-Khalaf is a consultant general psychiatrist with extensive experience is based in Guildford. He also covers parts of Hampshire and London. He is an expert in treating long-lasting mental illness and older adult mental health. Dr Jennifer Laidlaw
Jennifer Laidlaw earned her MD from the University of British Columbia before finishing an internship in psychiatry. She was involved in medical training during her residency. She has presented and published papers at international conferences on subjects like delirium screening, social media, and professionalism. She began her career at Surrey Memorial Hospital as the Head Consultation Liaison (CL) and psychiatrist. Her focus was on building a thriving highly collaborative CL service that provided psychiatric treatment to patients in the surgical and medical units including the Palliative Care and oncology Units. She also was awarded an Facilities Engagement grant to create guidelines for managing vulnerable patients in hospital.
She is the Provincial Practice Leader for Psychiatry at BC Cancer, Clinical Associate Professor at UBC and Past-President of the BC Psychiatric Association. She is an assistant professor at Tufts University School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry and adjunct faculty in the UM PM&R & Family Medicine residency programs. She has been interested for a long time in musculoskeletal education and research. She is currently teaching Neuromuscular and musculoskeletal medicine to the Family Medicine residents and has ongoing research projects on musculoskeletal education electrodiagnostic medicine, as well as performing arts medicine.
Dr. Pulkit Singh completed her medical degree at the University of New South Wales before completing her Psychiatry residency at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Nadeesha Fernando is a psychiatrist who works with adults of all ages at BC Cancer. She has a keen interest in Psychooncology, and enjoys working with people who are older. She has a long-standing interest in geriatric psychiatry. She has served as a consultant to the Geriatric Psychiatry Consult Liaison Service and the ECT service at Vancouver General Hospital. She is also a tutor and mentor for medical students and residents.
Dr Theresa Lo
Dr. Theresa Lo is a graduate of the University of British Columbia, where she completed her medical school and residency in psychiatry. She has worked at the BC Cancer Agency, Surrey Mental Health and UBC Sleep Disorders Centre. She also has an active clinical practice in psychotherapy which includes psychodynamic and dialectical behavioural therapy. psychotherapy. She is fluent in Cantonese.
Dr. Karim is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and trained at Guy's King's St Thomas', St George's and St George's Hospitals in London.
